The Chingona Co is a research, data systems, and consulting business that helps organizations communicate complex information clearly while building the systems needed to support that work.
Many organizations produce valuable research, data, and insights, but struggle to manage that information or present it in ways that are accessible and useful for decision-makers. The Chingona Co bridges that gap by strengthening both data infrastructure and communication tools, transforming complex information into systems, visuals, reports, and tools that support understanding and action.
Our work combines research, systems design, strategy, and communication. We approach both design and data systems as tools for clarity and long-term impact. Every project begins with understanding the organization, the audience, and the purpose of the work.
About the Founder
The Chingona Co. was founded by Ericka C. Muñoz, a research and data professional with over a decade of experience working across research, education, and public sector organizations, including extensive work with justice-involved individuals and reentry programs.
Her work focuses on helping organizations translate complex data into clear insights that support decision-making, policy discussions, and public understanding, while also developing the data infrastructure needed to sustain that work.
Throughout her career, Ericka has worked with organizations across the United States to develop reports, dashboards, infographics, and research communication tools that make data more accessible to diverse audiences. She has also led the design and development of data systems for organizations in California, supporting more coordinated, efficient, and sustainable data practices. She is known for her ability to combine analytical thinking with visual storytelling, helping organizations present their work in ways that are both accurate and engaging.
In addition to her consulting work, Ericka is completing her Master of Advanced Study in Criminology, Law and Society at the University of California, Irvine, where her research focuses on policy and systems that impact vulnerable communities.
